Leduc Foundation
Where We Began

1963 Leduc Foundation was established under a Provincial Ministerial Order.
Planeview Manor, Leduc, (32 rooms) - built by the Province and opened with 14 private and 18 semi-private rooms, all with ensuite sink/toilet.  The Matron lived on site until 1981. The Foundation was registered as the owners and held title.
1976 Cloverleaf Manor, Warburg, (41 rooms) - built by the Province and opened with 38 private rooms with ensuite sink/toilet and 3 double rooms with ensuite bathing.  The Matron lived on site until 1982.  The Province was registered as the owners.
1983 Cloverleaf Manor, 18 room addition (59 rooms) - built by the Province, each room with ensuite bathing.
Planeview Manor, Leduc, part of the original site was sold to the Province for the new seniors’ apartment building.  Proceeds invested by the Foundation. 
West Grove Apartments, Leduc, 50 suites - seniors’ apartment building built adjacent to Planeview Manor by the Province, managed by the Foundation under a Management Agreement with the Province.
1984 Happy Haven Apartments, Thorsby, 16 suites - management of the seniors apartment building was transferred to the Foundation under a Management Agreement.
1985 Planeview Manor, 22 room addition (54 rooms) - built by the Province, each room with ensuite bathing.  Original semi-private rooms converted to private rooms.  Title retained.
1989 Planeview Manor, Recreation complex - built by the Foundation with the proceeds from the sale of the land to the Province in 1983.
1992 Cloverleaf Manor, 1 room addition (60 rooms) - created out of the bedroom and bathroom from the original Matron’s suite.
1994 Beauregard Manoir, Beaumont, 12 suites - management of seniors apartment building transferred to the Foundation under a Management Agreement.
Administration Office moved out of Planeview Manor into leased office space south of the lodge.
Planeview Manor, 1 room addition (55 rooms) - created out of the space made available by the relocation of the Administration office.
1995 Goldring Manor, Devon, 24 suites – seniors’ apartment building,
Sunset Apartments, Calmar, 16 suites – seniors’ apartment building,
Northern Lights Apartments, Calmar, 8 suites – seniors’ apartment building, 
Sunset Manor, New Sarepta, 4-plex – seniors’ building.
Management of the above 4 buildings was transferred to the Foundation under an addendum to the Management Agreement.
Leduc Community Housing, 42 unit townhouse project, and 1 single family home - The Foundation entered into a Property Management Agreement with Leduc Housing Authority.
1996 Leduc Foundation established as a Management Body through a Ministerial Order under the Alberta Housing Act, R.S.A. 1994.
Leduc Community Housing
- management transferred to the Foundation.
Calmar Community Housing - 14 single family homes - management transferred to the Foundation.
1998 Goldage Apartments, Leduc, 40 suites - management of this seniors’ apartment building was transferred to the Foundation.
Planeview Manor, Lodge Up-grade & 19-room addition (74 rooms) - the Foundation funded the 19-room addition in conjunction with the Provincial government’s up-grade of the lodge.  The Foundation funded the enlargement of the 14 original private rooms and added bathtubs to all 32 original rooms. Title to the lodge was retained by the Foundation.
2000 Cloverleaf Manor, Lodge Up-grade - the Foundation funded the installation of bathtubs to 38 of the 60 rooms that had been without bathtubs, as well as an expansion of the dining room and staff room, in conjunction with the Province’s Lodge Up-grade Program.
2004 Planeview Place, Supportive Housing (121 rooms) - the Foundation opened the 47-unit (28 1-bedroom suites, 19 lodge rooms) addition to the Planeview Manor – West Grove Apartment site.  Cost: $4.9M, $2.1M HAPI grant provided by the Provincial Government.
